Welcome

When it comes to fashion, I love this time of year. All my favourite style magazines are full of inspiring ideas for the new season.

As much as I loved the summer trends, especially the fab maxi dress, Autumn always provides great opportunities to experiment with fashion.

Gorgeous macs, camel coats, fab tweeds and 50's glamour are all hot this season. It's a great time to go through your wardrobe, throw away any worn out, ill fitting items, and make space for those fantastic new purchases. If you're on a budget, think about revamping with some on-trend accessories.

Autumn also brings with it one of the kids' favourite occasions, Halloween. My two are well trained in the dressing up and yelling 'trick or treat' game now. Every year my husband's pumpkin carving gets more and more elaborate and sometimes he lets the kids join in.

So, what have we got for you this issue?

Well, we have some great fashion from La Boutique. Claire thought it would be a great idea for me to do the modelling. I may never forgive her for that one; I much prefer to be behind the scenes.

Take a look at our Party page; Critterish Allsorts offer a party with a difference.

Also, as the nights draw in, and it can be difficult for children to go out and play, entertain them with some creative projects. We have five copies of 'Things To Make & Do' to give away courtesy of Letterland Int.

Claire and I are still training for the Birmingham half marathon on the 24th October – will we get round without medical assistance? Catch up with our progress on page 24.

Have a happy Halloween, be safe on Bonfire Night and we'll be back with our Christmas issue before you know it.
