Theatres up and down the UK will play host to one of the UK's favourite children's presenters this Autumn, as Boogie Beebies presenter Pete Hillier heads out on the road for the first ever live tour of his all-dancing participatory show for kids.
Boogie Pete, star of the Children's BAFTA award-winning programme will be visiting 19 venues across the UK in an interactive performance designed to get children up on their feet and dancing to a host of different songs, teaching kids new dance routines whilst encouraging them to get active. Unlike other shows for the young it aims to get kids out of their seats with pop songs especially created for them, encouraging an interest in dance, healthy movement and singing in a great introduction to the performing arts.
Pete Hillier was one of the two original presenters of the BBC show, which has been aired on both BBC1 and BBC2, as well as on the dedicated Children's channel CBeebies. Although best known for his role on the programme, his career has spanned across performing on both TV and the West End as well as presenting, choreography, teaching and stand-up comedy, making him a perfect host for Boogie Pete Live.
As a special treat for kids attending the show there will be a Meet and Greet with Pete after each of the performances, giving children the chance to say hello to the much-loved presenter face to face.
