Style Birmingham Live is heading to the city in September, hosted by the gorgeous George Lamb. Our Editor, Chris, tells us about her experience of the fashion world.
"For several years in my twenties I worked in Fashion Retail. One of the things I loved and miss are the season preview fashion shows I used to attend.
"The energy in the room is created by oodles of women who don't just appreciate fashion but go crazy over it. There I was among my kind of people. Over the past few years there has been an abundance of fashion websites, which are great for finding deals, but they lack the vigour and camaraderie of a physical fashion show. Clicking and browsing through a webpage just doesn't conjure the gleeful vibes and anticipation of seeing clothes that are literally within your grasp. And I miss it. So, that is why I am very excited to tell you about a series of very fun fashion events taking place all over Birmingham in September. "September is a fabulous month in the fashion calendar, a time when the beautiful new autumn/ winter trends hit stores and Fashion Weeks are held all over the world. Style Birmingham Live is set to hit the city, bringing with it an explosion of fashion, glamour, beauty, shopping, fun and celebrities. "Guests can expect to see the best of the new season fashion at glittering catwalk shows all over town.
