School in focus: Fulfen Primary, Burntwood

Fulfen has been developing quickly over the last two years since the new management
team took over.

Amongst other changes we have put in a new car park, resurfaced a pathway for parents as well as a playground for children. We have installed a trim trail for Key Stage 2 children and begun to develop the outside areas for our reception class. The large environmental area has been redeveloped with a new pond being installed for investigating our natural environment.

We are a very forward thinking school in the way we are changing our curriculum to meet the needs of the children and in the way we develop our young people for the future.

We have high expectations and standards which the staff work hard to ensure that the children meet within an atmosphere which encourages enjoyment and investigation.
Our staff and children are our greatest assets and we constantly strive for the best for everyone.

This is what our children had to say about our school in their recent newspaper:

Fulfen staff are very reliable and are always ready to listen to our problems and ideas. They are there to help you when we find something hard. Any problems we have will be sorted and they run after school and lunchtime clubs that are really, really fun.
They try their very best for us and they like it when we return it to them. They sometimes shout but they only want the best for us. They are always reasonable and try not to shout when not needed. They take us out on fun trips that also include education. They give us fun party's at the end of the year or at Christmas also they sing happy birthday to you when it's your birthday.
They are very kind and have sorted out a library for us and other fun and educational rooms. We also have a lot of new teachers which you would have heard about. That is Fulfen staff!
