Which witch is which?
Earlier this year, I was reading my daughter a book called 'Princess Mirror-belle and the Magic Shoes' by Julia Donaldson (Macmillan Children's Books) when, in the story, the two girls go out trick or treating. However, Ellen's mum doesn't approve of just asking for treats and believes they should be earned by reciting a poem or telling a joke. So, the 2 girls who are dressing up in identical witches costumes decide to deliver a poem entitled 'Which witch is which?' to anyone brave enough to open their door to them.
I thought this was a brilliant idea, if you have two or more girls going out why don't you print it out and get them to read it or better still memorise it.
Two witches flew out
on a moonlit night.
Their laughs were loud
and their eyes were bright.
Their chins and their noses
were pointed and long.
They shared the same broom and
they sang the same song.
Their hats and their cloaks
were as black as pitch,
And nobody knew
which witch was which.
