Mums' Questions & Answers, Joanna

Joanna Buick lives in Burntwood, with her husband and 2 children aged 3 and 1.

Q: How long have you lived in the area? A: Seven years.

Q: Why do like living where you do? A: Great community, lots of places to go and activities for the children.

Q: What is your favourite shop? A: The Learning Bug as they have great educational toys and Pumpkin Patch as they have really cool clothes.

Q: What is your favourite children's club/class? A: Little Steps Gym & Sharky's Swim School.

Q: What is your favourite day out? A: Ash End Farm, the children really love interacting with the animals.

Q: What is your favourite child friendly place to eat? A: Toby Carvery at the Turf Lodge in Norton Canes. The food is brilliant value, very tasty and ready the minute you walk through the door. (Very important for hungry children.)

Q: What is your favourite alternative health treatment or postnatal group? A: Cranial Osteopathy. An absolute must for newborns. Calmed down both my children after fast deliveries and with further sessions - prevented the dreaded colic.

Q: What should no parent be without? A: A cot top changer or a sense of humour.

Q: What are your parenting pet hates? A: People who park in 'parent & child' parking spaces who don't have any children and people walking in front of you very slowly when you are pushing a pushchair in a hurry.

Q: What is your most embarrassing moment? A: When Cameron decided he couldnt wait to go to the toilet so proceeded to water all my plants in the front garden in front of neighbours.

Q: What is your favourite bedtime story book? A: All Afloat on Noahs Boat.

Q: What toy do your children play with most? A: Cameron is obsessed with lawnmowers and Libby adores any type of phone. Both however, love Baby Annabel.

Q: What was your biggest waste of money? A: Inflatable car. Far too big, must need thousands of balls
to fill it.

Q: What is your most successful recipe for the kids? A: Spaghetti bolognaise (you can hide all sorts of vegetables in the sauce).
