Emma Poole, a 37 year old married mother of a four year old boy, was fed up of seeing her son in the same clothes as virtually every other toddler in the area so set about doing something about it.
Having worked 'for somebody else behind a desk' for the first 20 years of her career, Emma woke up one morning and realised there must be more to life. Having not long returned from holiday with a suitcase full of Spanish clothes for her friends' children, Emma realised that there was a hole in the market and she was going to fill it – on the 6th October the doors opened on Just Boo.
Named after her son (his name is Harrison but his family nickname is Boo) Just Boo is a small shop offering the discerning parent something slightly different but at affordable prices. With clothes imported from Spain, Peru and Ireland, Just Boo is the sole supplier of McCul Clothing from Ireland, a 'retro surf/skater look' which has certainly raised the colour base for Sutton Coldfield's boys.
Emma started her career as a PA to the FGM at HP Sauce, there then followed a succession of roles ranging from an Events Co-ordinator to a Bridal Shop assistant, to name just a couple.
However, Emma's easy going nature and approachable attitude has given her a great foundation on which to build her own business.
With support from her husband, Simon, Emma has turned a small brick built shop into a bright, colourful haven of goodies and with events such as Halloween Festivities already taken place and with a Christmas Party planned for Saturday 8th December 2007, the shop has proven a great balance of work and play for Emma.
