Big move for Little People
Little People is a very successful nursery which has been established for 16 years.
Its dedicated staff consists of two qualified teachers who have been at the nursery since its conception, an NNEB, two NVQ3s, a classroom assistant, a student NVQ3 and an administrator. However, they feel that their experience as mothers is perhaps their greatest asset.
Having enjoyed excellent Ofsted reports throughout registration, the most recent one taking place on June 12th and 13th 2007. They are reported as providing a friendly calm and homely atmosphere, probably as a result of the 1:4 ratio. Providing a two stage comprehensive curriculum consisting of Birth to Three Matters and the current Foundation Stage, which all schools and settings follow.
Their child centred approach covers all the areas of learning in an exciting exploratory environment encouraging children to progress through the stepping stones without stress or pressure. To maintain and extend the excellent provision, they will be moving premises for September 2007, to Boney Hay Primary School.
Although looking forward to working alongside the school Little People will be maintaining its independence and they are excited at the prospect of utilizing new facilities to the benefit of the nursery as a whole.
